I don't think I wrote in here that Brian got his GED. I'm so proud of him. And we're registering him at community college so he can get an EMT certificate so that after two years he can become a firefighter. I like to think that if it wasn't for me, he would still be in a bad situation, still hanging out with the wrong crowd, and headed in the wrong direction. He tells me that I saved his life in a way, because he was so depressed before we met that he had thought about driving his car off a cliff. Although, living in Florida, I'm not sure that's a genuine threat, but still�

So I went to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot on Saturday with a bunch of friends, and then we went and did karaoke. It was a lot of fun. We're supposed to go karaoke again tonight at Bennigans, only this time I can't spend so much money. I spent $40 that night, which really isn't so much for a night out including dinner and drinks (quite a few of them), but rent is due soon.

Oh, speaking of money, I'm trying to raise money to go to the Fantasyland Ride-a-Thon at Disney, the proceeds from which go to the Children's Miracle Network. Cast members and their families can go to Fantasyland on November 14 after park close, and instead of walking for charity, you ride. I have to get a minimum of $20 in donations in order to go. If anyone likes children, and I know some of you do, could you find it in your heart (and your wallet) to donate a dollar or two? And just to clarify, I'm not going just to go ride the rides in Fantasyland (I work there and can ride them anytime).
